DaVida K Cole - an Army Kid inspired by the arts - is a storytelling creative artist. Recently she has began experimenting with Film, you can check out her first film ELEMENT OF LIFE on YouTube, feel free to like, subscribe or comment. She plans to release her visual album composed of short films based on songs, by November 2018. She has established Carnivals Studios - An entertainment resource providing emerging, independent artist an opportunity to grow, display, and network their art by contracting local Chicago Venues based on the artists' work.
She aims to provided a voice to those unheard, a safe space for creation, and engagement amongst local communities. As a Graduate of Columbia College Chicago's Theatre program she noticed a lack of varied roles available for POC, so she began to collaborate and produce fellow colleague's work in hopes to fill non-traditional POC roles. In June 2016, she produced a fundraising event of Lip Mavrik's - Midnight Queen at the Matilda's bar, the proceeds were sent to the Orlando, FL Pulse Nightclub victims and their families. She is currently working on producing MAD! - a Roundtable of women sharing stories of Misogyny and THE SPOT - A Love Letter to Chicago changing the perspective of Chicago for the better.
