This image, titled "For Cyrus," was created in response and in support of my friends, the Korotkos.
Jenny and Zach Korotko found out August 14th that baby Cyrus was diagnosed with spina bifida. The extent of his difficulties will be unknown until he is born and perhaps may not arise for a while after that. Baby Cyrus will require at least one corrective surgery after birth, possibly more. At this point there is no telling how extensive his neural tube defect is and what type of inpatient and outpatient care he will need after he is born.
Here is how you can help the Korotkos:
We need to raise money specifically to help cover the Korotkos' medical costs related to Cyrus's diagnosis. These costs are exacerbated by the fact that Jenny will soon be losing her job and insurance coverage.
Your contribution will go directly toward:
Health insurance payments
Baby items best suited for babies with spina bifida
In addition, this hand-carved and hand pressed block print may be purchased for a donation of $10 or more and 100% of this donation will go directly to the Korotko family. This print will be available at the Fulton Street Collective Open House on Saturday, Oct. 13th from 6pm to Midnight. A portion of every piece of artwork purchased on this evening will also go to the care of Cyrus. You may also contact me directly at:
