Mary Blake Donoghue graduated from The School of Visual Arts, with a BFA in Illustration. She is currently in graduate school at Goddard College in pursuit of a MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts. She has taught in after-school programs, homeless shelters, and private lessons. She is also a child-care provider, and a loving Aunt to six nieces and nephews.
Mary believes that learning how we learn is as important as what we learn. Her goal as a teacher is to help students discover how they learn, and then implement that into creative practice. Through this approach to art education, her students learn independent thinking, collaboration, and new ways of self-expression.
