I am a Chicago-based artist working primarily with photography, bookmaking, and found objects. I create work to fill the conceptual gaps left by logic and factual information with something more fantastic. Layering visual context and subject matter allows me to compose images that give just enough information to let curiosity take control of the narrative.
I am fueled by second glances, irony, and pondering the obscurities of daily living. I am drawn to the physicality of architecture and objects and their relationships to the people that interact with them. I am also inspired by the constant overlapping of our separate lives, and how this can be portrayed by using our domestic environments as stages for storytelling.
